Wake up from your 4 poster bed and step out onto the terrace. Look out over the picturesque lake and the fabulous vine covered adjoining valley.
The castle is situated in a wine growing region, surrounded by woods and undulating countryside. It sits on a hillside overlooking the valley.
The castle is Roman in style, with turrets and parts dating back to the 15th Century. It has good access from the main road, and is adequately stoned.

The main fortified courtyard is entered though original wooden gates. The castle has a feeling of tranquillity and privacy. It has breathtaking views over the private lake and the adjoining valley.
The castle looks out over the setting from a balustraded terrace. There are two further tiered terraces leading down to the lake with excellentfishing facilities.
The main set of monumental steps are reputed to have been used by Napoleon Bonaparte when he visited the village of Haux.
These streps lead down the side of the castle to the swimming pool (23mx5m) and sun terrace with year round facilities.
The castle is centrally heated in the winter months.
NB: Most walls throughout the castle are 1 metre thick, so the castle does not heat up substantially through the summer months although Air-conditioning is available for a local charge.
